"I want to fly..." by *akinna is deceptively simple in execution, but the linework makes great use of stroke weight and is uncluttered. It also has a strikingly whimsical but direct emotional impact. (

Aww so cute! ^^ How have you outline it? With ink or with copics? Well done work.
I like the shadows of the head and the clouds. Only the shadow of the hole character is a little bit bad... I don't know why but I think that it's not worked out very good... sorry for my english ^^° german is better...
It's done with a gel ink pen.
Yes I see what you mean. At the time it was only a experiment and I really didn't know how I should do the shadows so I ended up with this.
I still have trouble with picking a light source and knowing how the shadows should be.
Thanks again for your comment.
For a shadow you have to know from which place the light is coming... and then you have to fix the points where the shadow ends... like the light at the end of a tunnel... you understand? with some thin lines you can make scribbles and then, when you color it you can see exactly where the shadow ends.
"This one has a point shown. The imagination to just fly. It got me thoughtful. Guess all things do have a soft touch to them. Just that not many thinnk about what this tells other souls lest they really think of it." *Thinks thoughtfully and smiles at the pic*
